I felt like it was baby Arshaq‘s turn to get extra pampered today so I massaged loads, brushed for ages, painted his hooves and coated him in gloss and gold glitter. What else are Saturday nights for?
Then we took a 20 minute ride in the paddock and kept things quite basic yet entertaining. Things went very smoothly today again but my mom stayed and held guard by the gate, just in case. She said he looked particularly nice when he was stretching out in a trot. Mom tried to film as my baby showed off his pretty dancing but we accidentally set the phone to film in slowmotion instead. 💛
Today’s ride got me thinking that it isn’t such a far off thought to enter him in a local dressage competition this spring after all? Arshaq seems to like it after all?
They are allowed to enter lower levels of dressage when they reach 4 years old but have to wait until 5 years old before they can start doing Endurance Clear Rounds. So this makes it even more of a good idea since it would let Arshaq gather a lot more experience as well as being fun.
And besides, I love how versatile and multi-talented Arabians are so why not make a point out of going out and showing off in as many disciplines as possible? Right? 💛
